What do I need document wise to sell a timeshare for sale by owner.....?

I have a family member who wants to sell their time share. I know there are brokers but they would like to try on their own first. Listing it is easy but what legal paper work do they need to have or do in order to complete that process? What do I need document wise to sell a timeshare for sale by owner.....?
Well coming from someone who has sold their timeshare it is possible to do the closing yourself BUT it's not recommended and there is some liability if errors occur. When you sell your timeshare the BUYER usually pays the closing costs (either way you shouldn't have to pay for the closing). I recommend checking out a few closing companies and ask questions. The company I used was called transfermytimeshare and they were awesome! They only charged the buyer about $400 and they handled EVERYTHING (including the escrow of the funds)! if you go to the site they list all their services (most company's sites will list closing procedure and keep you posted on progress). I wish you the best! What do I need document wise to sell a timeshare for sale by owner.....?
not to worry you probably will not be able to sell it unless it is located in one really hot area, not much of a resale market for timeshares

best bet is to gift it to family
There are companies that do the closings on timeshares (there are a bunch of them on ebay). They charge the buyer about $350 to do the paperwork. You can sell your timeshare on ebay or through an ad in Timeshare Today, a magazine that is also on line www.tstoday.com They can also let you know who does the closing paperwork and they always have articles about selling your timeshare on their website You can see the ads and see what people are asking and you can also look at the ended auctions on ebay to see what your timeshare goes for via an advanced search.
All what they need is the title of ownership, how ever is a complicated process due different factors, the best option is to hire an escrow company to do the transaction for you, it will cost you ( you can just ad it to the sale price ) but is worth every single penny.
