Advertise on craigslist, http://www.craigslist.org but use Postlets to do it. http://www.postlets.com
The ads look great and the interface with Craig's list makes your listing stand out. Check my properties for sale in my profile for examples.Where is the best place online to advertise a for sale by owner house?
FSOB.COM, WELIST.COM are both here in Canada. Not sure where you are. Also there is OKHOMESELLER.COM in the Okanagan in British Columbia which is a good one but those are around where I live. Good Luck and of course Craigslist.com or craigslist.ca
Craislist! It is free and you will get responses if you have an active craigslist site in your area.
There are so many FSBO sites now, I think the market is spread too thin for any of the sites to be very effective. If you google FSBO ads, you will get pages of sites.
Craigslist is good, and it is a free site, but you will get a ton of tire kickers. To limit this, put as much description in your ad as possible.
www.pink-home.com
free listing service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do a google search. FSBO.com is one site -- I don't know if zillow.com charges. Some real estate agents will let you link to their sites as well.
Depends on the local market conditions, but FSBO is not easy in this market except in a few areas where there is still high demand. Remember you will need to abide by the real estate practices and law in your area. You will need to write up a sales and purchase contract when someone wants to make an offer.
You will need to determine if the ';buyer'; can really buy your house, if he has the financing lined up and if he needs to sell another property first. You will have to determine who will hold the escrow money, if you are going to use an attorney or a title company and on and on.
Additionally, you will need to show your home to potential buyers, negotiate with them if they are interested, provide the appropriate disclosures according to your state law and federal law (for example lead based paint). This is just the tip of the iceberg, but if you are asking this kind of question it seems like you are new at this and there are a lot of landmines!
