Is the fee still $49.95? Are there other INEXPENSIVE ways to get listed on the MLS as a FSBO client? Can we list our For Sale By Owner house in Yahoo! classified real estate section?
As a FSBO seller, there really aren't any ways to inexpensively list a home on the MLS (the cheapest is several hundred dollars). The reason is, that there are many regulations surrounding the hundreds of MLS' that are in operation throughout the U.S., and in order to post a listing to an MLS the person submitting must be a licensed broker/agent and a participating member of that area's MLS.
You can post your FSBO on Yahoo! Real Estate for $49.95 and I've talked to several people who have had good experiences. You can submit your listing here: http://realestate.yahoo.com/Sell_your_ho鈥?/a>Can we list our For Sale By Owner house in Yahoo! classified real estate section?
You can also advertise your home on HomeQuickFinder.com. It's completely free but it's not as good as putting it on the MLS. Like the guy said before me, you can list your house on the MLS but it's a few hundred dollars and it's not available in all areas. Search for ';Flat Fee MLS'; on Google and that might help.
Good luck!
